Galfan coated wire is a premium product giving 2 to 4 times the corrosion
resistance of galvanized wire of the same coating thickness. Alternatively
it can give the same corrosion thickness with only half the amount of zinc.
Either way the customer gains a great advantage for a small increase in
price. In all other respects it can be regarded as and handled as the
galvanized wire you are used to.
For the technical the coating consists of 95% zinc, 5% aluminium and traces
of rare earth metals ( these assist the manufacturing process)
